Box Score Wilmington, Del.- The Wilmington University Wildcats (5-11, 5-6 CACC) used an early goal to take down the Goldey-Beacom College Lightning, 1-0, in Central Atlantic Conference women's soccer action at Nancy Churchman-Sawin Field on Monday afternoon.

th minute, Wildcat forward Loran Wyrough played a through ball up the middle of the field and senior forward Chelsea Grace accepted the pass and was able to sneak one by the Lightning goalkeeper,
Cindell Aguirre (Coronado H.S./El Paso, Texas), for what eventually became the game-winning goal.
The Lightning, who outshot the Wildcats by a 22-14 margin, had plenty of chances for the equalizer throughout the game. Senior net minder, Julia Brown, had plenty of answers for the Lightning, including a save on a penalty kick in the 35
th minute.
Brown finished the day with 10 saves, and the Wildcats tacked on a team save to go along with everything as a scrum ensued within the six yard line in the 58

Alexandra Smith (Pennsville Memorial H.S./Pennsville, N.J.), Smith's shot beat the goalkeeper however a Wildcat defender booted the ball away just inches from crossing the goal line to preserve the one goal lead.
Aguirre posted seven saves in the loss and has a staggering 0.48 goals against average in five games this season.
