PHILADELPHIA, Pa. – Freshman forward Brittany Robinson (Archbishop Ryan H.S./Philadelphia, Pa.) scored the first two goals of her college career to lead Holy Family University (1-2-0, 1-0-0) to its first win of the season, a 5-0 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference victory over Goldey-Beacom College (0-1-0, 0-1-0) at Tiger Field on Thursday afternoon.

The Tigers, who were held to just one goal in their first two contests, erupted for five goals on 24 shots en route to handing the Lightning the loss in their season opener.

Freshman forward Ashley Shackleford (Holy Cross H.S./Burlington, N.J.) gave the Tigers an early 1-0 lead in the 17th minute when she scored on a breakaway past freshman goalkeeper Cindell Aguirre (Coronado H.S./El Paso, Texas) for the first goal of her college career.

Just over 10 minutes later, freshman Ursula Coyle (Little Flower H.S./Philadelphia, Pa.) upped the advantage to 2-0 when she converted a pass from junior MaryKate Morris (Saint Hubert's H.S./Philadelphia, Pa.) for her first career goal.

In the 30th minute, Holy Family extended the margin to 3-0 on an unassisted marker by sophomore Lisa Abramski (Kellenberg Memorial H.S./Lindenhurst, N.Y.).

The Tigers held the three-goal advantage when Robinson struck with an unassisted goal in the 69th minute to increase the margin to 4-0. Just over six minutes later, she tallied her second goal of the match after a pass from Morris.

While Robinson led the Tigers with the first multi-goal effort of her college career, freshmen Sienna Smith (Pottsville Regional H.S./Pottsville, Pa.) and Kacie Booth (Maple Shade H.S./Maple Shade, N.J.) combined to make three saves en route to earning the shutout win.

Making the first start of her college career, Aguirre made 11 saves for the Lightning, who were outshot by a 24-5 margin.

The Lightning will travel to Caldwell College on Saturday, Sept. 14 for a CACC match-up against the Cougars. Meanwhile, Holy Family will host Concordia on Saturday afternoon.
