Opening Tip-Off
After setting a school record with their seventh consecutive victory on Wednesday night, the Lightning will try to extend their school-record win streak and set a pair of other school marks on Saturday afternoon with a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference contest at Dominican. Opening tip-off between the Lightning and the North Division-leading Chargers is slated for 1 p.m. at the Hennessy Center. In addition, live stats and live video for Saturday's game will be available via the Chargers' official athletics website, www.chargerathletics.com.

Updating the Lightning
Now 17-8 overall and 14-2 in the CACC, the Lightning secured a home game in the conference quarterfinals after posting a convincing 72-43 victory over Nyack on Wednesday night at Bowman Gymnasium. The Lightning, who set a school record by winning their seventh straight game, shot a season-high 49.2 per cent from the field in the win on Wednesday night as senior forwards Akilah Sewell and Irene Hudson each tallied a “double double.” Sewell scored a season-high 18 points and grabbed a season-high 15 rebounds while Hudson contributed a 15-point, 12-rebound performance. The Lightning, who have won 14 of their last 17 games, will be trying to win their 15th CACC contest of the year on Saturday, which would set a school record. In addition, they can also set a school record for consecutive conference victories with a win. It would mark the Lightning's eighth straight conference victory.

Scouting Dominican

Meanwhile, senior guard Lindsey Lopez tallied a game-high seven assists while contributing seven points. Sophomore guard LaShonda Hathorne finished with 14 points, including a perfect 6-for-6 effort at the free throw line. Coach Bill Diener is in his third season as the Chargers' leader after spending two years on the staff as an assistant coach. He has led Dominican to three straight CACC Tournament appearances and a 39-47 record.
