After being held without a goal in each of their first two games, the Rams exploded for three goals against the Lightning while taking 38 shots.
The Rams took a 1-0 lead in the 26th minute when sophomore

Just over six minutes later, Ferro tallied the first goal of her college career when she upped the Rams' advantage to 2-0 with a shot into the lower left corner off an assist from senior midfielder

In the 55th minute, senior defender
Chelsea Riedell (Highland H.S./Gilbert, Ariz.) added an insurance marker when she headed in a corner kick from sophomore midfielder

While Ferro led the Rams offensively, senior
