NEW CASTLE, Del. – Junior forward
Danielle Semenza (Hazleton Area H.S./Hazle Township, Pa.) and freshman forward
Tiffany Kelly (Parsippany H.S./Parsippany, N.J.) each scored a goal to lead Goldey-Beacom College (2-8-0, 1-6-0) to its second win in the last three matches, a 2-1 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference victory over Concordia College (0-9-0, 0-6-0) at the Kirkwood Soccer Complex on Saturday afternoon.
The Lightning, who opened the season with seven straight losses, have now outscored their opponents by a 5-3 margin over the last three contests.
Kelly gave the Lightning a 1-0 lead in the ninth minute when she scored her third goal of the season off an assist from Semenza.
The Lightning held the one-goal advantage until the 70th minute when Semenza scored her team-leading fourth goal of the year, an unassisted marker past Concordia freshman goalkeeper
Johana Vargas (High School for Arts and Business/Queens, N.Y.).
With 2:30 remaining in regulation, the Clippers cut the deficit to 2-1 when senior forward
Iyesha Ollivierre (Trinidad and Tobago) scored her first goal of the season with an unassisted marker past senior goalkeeper

Vetrano made one save in earning the victory as the Lightning limited Concordia to just seven shots, including two shots in the first half.
Vargas, who has played every minute for the Clippers this season, made six saves in a losing effort.
