WILMINGTON, Del. - After earning its first win of the season on Tuesday afternoon, the Lightning women's soccer team will make the trip to Delaware State University on Thursday night for a non-conference match against the Lady Hornets at Alumni Stadium at 7 p.m.

Live stats for Thursday's game will be available via the Delaware State athletics website by clicking here.

Led by two goals from junior forward Danielle Semenza (Hazleton Area H.S./Hazle Township, Pa.), the Lightning erupted for a season-high three goals en route to earning a 3-0 victory over Washington Adventist University on Tuesday afternoon at the Kirkwood Soccer Complex. Semenza, who is the Lightning's leading scorer with three goals, posted the first multi-goal game of her career as the Lightning snapped a 10-match losing streak, dating back to last season.

While Semenza helped the Lightning to the victory on Tuesday, freshman forward Tiffany Kelly (Parsippany H.S./Parsippany, N.J.) has played well for Goldey-Beacom over the four games by scoring two goals with an assist. She has tallied a goal in each of the last two games and is the Lightning's second-leading scorer with five points.

Senior goalkeeper Alyssa Vetrano (Shore Regional H.S./Ocean, N.J.) earned the second shutout of her college career on Tuesday afternoon and lowered her goals against average to 2.25. She ranks sixth in the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference with 43 saves while her .705 save percentage ranks eighth in the CACC.

Currently 0-7-1 on the season, the Lady Hornets will be looking for their first win of the season when they host Goldey-Beacom on Thursday. They have been idle since dropping a 3-1 verdict against Mount St. Mary's on Sunday afternoon. After being held without a goal in their first four games, the Lady Hornets have tallied four goals in the last three games, including a pair of markers in a 2-2 tie against Rider on Sept. 21.

Sophomore forward Chelsea Boursiquot (Bunnell H.S./Stratford, Conn.) is the Lady Hornets' leading scorer with two goals while senior midfielder Kelsey Gibson (Elizabethtown Lewis Central H.S./Elizabethtown, N.Y.) and freshman forward Taylor Addison (Cardinal Spellman H.S./Mount Vernon, N.Y.) have each added a goal.

Meanwhile, sophomore goalkeeper Katelyn Koslosky (East Islip H.S./East Islip, N.Y.) has started seven of eight games for the Lady Hornets, posting a 2.41 goals against average while stopping 77.0 per cent of the shots she has faced.

The Lightning and the Lady Hornets will be playing against each other for the first time since Delaware State earned a 1-0 victory in an exhibition match at Alumni Stadium on Aug. 20, 2008. It will be the first regular season meeting between the two teams since Sept. 20, 2006 when the Lightning posted a 2-0 win over the Lady Hornets in Dover.

After Thursday night's game, the Lightning will return home on Saturday afternoon for a 1 p.m. CACC match against Concordia at the Kirkwood Soccer Complex.
