NEW CASTLE, Del. – Senior forward Megan Tole (Archbishop Ryan H.S./Philadelphia, Pa.) scored a goal and added an assist to lead Holy Family University (4-9-0, 4-5-0) to its third win in the last four matches with a 3-0 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference victory over Goldey-Beacom College (3-10-0, 1-8-0) at the Kirkwood Soccer Complex on Tuesday afternoon.

Led by Tole, the Tigers also posted their second straight victory. During the last four matches, the Tigers have outscored their opponents by an 11-2 margin with three shutouts.

Tole, who scored the lone goal in last year's 1-0 victory over the Lightning, gave Holy Family a 1-0 lead in the 32nd minute when she gathered a loose ball in the goal area and scored her team-high sixth goal of the season past senior goalkeeper Alyssa Vetrano (Shore Regional H.S./Ocean, N.J.).

With 18:45 remaining, freshman midfielder Stephanie Fischer (Pennsbury H.S./Fairless Hills, Pa.) upped the Tigers' advantage to 2-0 when she scored her second goal of the season, an unassisted marker from 25 yards.

Freshman forward Jenna Richards (Conwell Egan H.S./Croydon, Pa.) extended the margin to 3-0 just under nine minutes later with her third goal of the season after rebounding a shot by Tole.

While Tole led the Tigers to the victory, senior goalkeeper Rachel Dunkle (Fleetwood H.S./Blandon, Pa.) made five saves en route to earning her third shutout of the season.

Vetrano recorded seven saves in a losing effort for the Lightning, who were outshot by a 20-9 margin. Holy Family also had a 5-4 advantage in corner kicks.

The Lightning, who dropped their second straight match, will play their final home game on Saturday, Oct. 13 against Caldwell College at Nancy Churchman-Sawin Field on the Goldey-Beacom Campus at 12 p.m. Prior to kickoff, the Lightning will honor their five seniors.
