LINCOLN UNIVERSITY, Pa. – Freshman forward Tiffany Kelly (Parsippany H.S./Parsippany, N.J.) scored two goals and added an assist to lead Goldey-Beacom College (3-8-0) to its third win in the last four matches, a 3-0 non-conference victory over Lincoln University (4-5-0) at the Lady Lions' Lincoln University Stadium on Wednesday afternoon.

The reigning Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Rookie of the Week, Kelly tallied the first multi-goal effort of her career as the Lightning posted their second shutout of the season.

Kelly gave the Lightning a 1-0 lead in the 17th minute when she converted a penalty kick after the Lady Lions were called for a foul in the penalty area.

Just over seven minutes into the second half, she upped the lead to 2-0 when she scored her team-leading fifth goal of the season, an unassisted marker past junior goalkeeper Sima Sinforosa (Mount Vernon H.S./Scarsdale, N.Y.)

With 15:58 remaining, freshman midfielder Sheridan Vincent-Gobble (Oak Ridge H.S./Conroe, Texas) upped the Lightning advantage to 3-0 by scoring the first goal of her college career off an assist from Kelly.

Led by senior goalkeeper Alyssa Vetrano (Shore Regional H.S./Ocean, N.J.), the Lightning defense limited the Lady Lions to just five shots en route to the victory. Vetrano made two saves for the Lightning, who held a 14-5 advantage in shots.

Sinforosa made three saves in a losing effort for the Lady Lions, who dropped their second straight game. Both of those losses have been shutout defeats.

The Lightning will resume their CACC schedule on Saturday, Oct. 6 when they travel to Post University for a 1 p.m. match against the Eagles at LaMoy Field.
