WILMINGTON, Del. - After winning two of three matches in a busy week, the Lightning women's soccer team will look to continue its recent success on Wednesday afternoon by traveling to Lincoln University (Pa.) for a 4 p.m. non-conference match against the Lady Lions at Lincoln University Stadium.
It will be the first of back-to-back road matches for the Lightning, who will play at Post on Saturday afternoon.
Now 2-8-0 overall and 1-6-0 in the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference, the Lightning are coming off a 2-1 victory against Concordia on Saturday afternoon at the Kirkwood Soccer Complex. Junior forward
Danielle Semenza (Hazleton Area H.S./Hazle Township, Pa.) and freshman forward
Tiffany Kelly (Parsippany H.S./Parsippany, N.J.) each scored a goal in the victory to lead the Lightning while senior goalkeeper
Alyssa Vetrano (Shore Regional H.S./Ocean, N.J.) made one save.
Honored as the CACC Player of the Week, Semenza scored three of her four goals in the Lightning's two wins last week and also contributed an assist. She is the Lightning's leading scorer with four goals and an assist. Meanwhile, Kelly earned CACC Rookie of the Week notice after scoring a goal in each of the Lightning's victories last week with an assist. She ranks second on the team with three goals this season, which have been scored in the last four outings.
With 52 saves in 10 matches this season, Vetrano is tied for fifth in the CACC. She has played in every minute this season and has a 2.10 goals against average while stopping 71.2 per cent of the shots she has faced.
Off to a 4-4 start this season, the Lady Lions will be looking to rebound from a 6-0 setback against Shepherd on Sunday afternoon at Lincoln University Stadium. The loss snapped Lincoln's two-match win streak and matched a season high for goals allowed in a match.

Tara O'Brien (London, England) is the Lady Lions' leading scorer with 14 goals and 4 assists while freshman defender
Emily Woodruff (Madison H.S./San Diego, Calif.) has contributed two goals with three assists. Junior goalkeeper
Sima Sinforosa (Mount Vernon H.S./Scarsdale, N.Y.) has played in every minute this season and has posted a 3.48 goals against average while stopping 54.8 per cent of the shots she has faced.
The Lightning earned an 8-0 victory over Lincoln in last year's meeting at Nancy Churchman-Sawin Field as senior forward
Kelly Williams (Copiague H.S./Copiague, N.Y.) tallied a goal with three assists.
After Wednesday's game, the Lightning will venture north for a Saturday matinee against the Eagles in CACC action. Opening kick-off from LaMoy Field is set for 1 p.m.
