WILMINGTON, Del. - Hoping to rebound from a tough four-set loss against Chestnut Hill on Thursday night, the Lightning volleyball team will finish its quick two-match homestand by welcoming Caldwell College to the Joseph West Jones College Center for a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference match on Saturday afternoon.

Now 4-14 overall and 0-10 in the CACC, the Lightning will be looking to earn their first win since Sept. 13 when they host the Cougars on Saturday afternoon. In their loss against the Griffins on Thursday night, the Lightning won the first set by a 25-19 margin before Chestnut Hill rallied to win the next three sets en route to snapping a six-match losing streak.
Sophomore outside hitter
Kadi McCoy (Dallastown H.S./Dallastown, Pa.) recorded a career-high 23 kills in the loss on Thursday night while adding a season-high 22 digs for her fifth "double double" of the season. In addition, she became the seventh player in school history to reach 500 kills for their career.
Meanwhile, freshman setter
Jamika Townsend (King's Fork H.S./Suffolk, Va.) also posted a "double double" against the Griffins by recording 18 assists with 11 digs. She also matched her season high by tallying six kills.
The CACC leader with a 3.40 kill per set average, McCoy ranks second in the CACC with 221 kills and has posted 10 or more kills in 9 of the last 11 matches. In addition, she leads the Lightning with 184 digs in 18 matches.
Meanwhile, sophomore outside hitter
Taylor Moyer (Blue Mountain H.S./Schuylkill Haven, Pa.) ranks second on the team with 145 kills after she recorded 10 kills in the loss on Thursday night. She also added a season-high five blocks against Chestnut Hill as the Lightning tallied a season-high 11.0 team blocks.
Currently 15-9 on the season, the Cougars will bring an 8-2 CACC mark and a six-match win streak into Saturday's affair with the Lightning after posting a three-set sweep over Bloomfield on Friday night. Senior outside hitter
Susan McDonough (Saline H.S./Saline, Mich.) led the Cougars with a match-high 10 kills while adding 14 digs. In addition, junior middle blocker
Kasey Bausch (Holy Trinity H.S./Bellmore, N.Y.) added nine kills and a .533 hitting percentage.
A starter in 22 of 24 matches this season, McDonough leads the CACC with 249 kills while ranking second on the Cougars with 355 digs. She has posted 16 "double double" matches, including a "double double" effort in each of her last five outings.
Meanwhile, sophomore libero
Jaclyn Del Cid (Bogota H.S./Bogota, N.J.) leads the CACC with 442 digs while leading Caldwell with 28 service aces. She has tallied 10 or more digs in 22 of 24 matches this year, including a season-high 33 digs against Pace University on Sept. 15.
The Lightning will be looking to avenge last year's three-set loss against the Cougars. Senior setter/opposite
Monica Dempsey (Secaucus H.S./Secaucus, N.J.) led the Lightning in a losing effort with 17 assists and a match-high 20 digs while senior right side hitter
Amber Mosher (Mount Olive H.S./Flanders, N.J.) had a .481 hitting percentage with 14 kills in the win for Caldwell.
After Saturday's home match, the Lightning will begin a busy week on Tuesday night by traveling to Lincoln University for a non-conference match against the Lions.
