RUTHERFORD, N.J. -- A tiebreaking goal by Cassie Indri in the 65th minute lifted Felician College to a 4-1 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference victory over visiting Goldey-Beacom College on Saturday evening at Memorial Park.
With the match knotted, 1-1, Indri collected a deflection off of a Goldey-Beacom defender in front of the net and put a 12-yard shot inside the left goalpost. Felician (4-4, 3-2) then took full control when Derienne Jacobowitz scored on a header nearly six minutes later.
The Lightning (0-7, 0-4) got on the scoreboard first on freshman Megan O'Connor's first career goal in the 28th minute, but the Golden Falcons drew even with 8:54 to play in the opening period when Jacobowitz knocked home a rebound. Jacobowitz finished with two goals and an assist and teammate Anna Petersen added two assists.
Felician's Nina D'Amato provided the final margin, recording a goal with 11 seconds to play in the match. The Golden Falcons owned advantages of 17-8 in shots and 8-3 in corner kicks. Goalkeeper Alyssa Vetrano was credited with four saves for GBC.
