Wilmington, DE – Lightning Volleyball drops non-conference match to West Chester University
The Lightning volleyball team played host to West Chester University, in their second match of a five-game home stand. The Lightning started strong in the match, but a few missed opportunities by the Lightning, allowed the Golden Rams to win the first set, 25-20.
The Golden Rams served to open the 2nd set, and took the control right from the start on their way to a convincing 25-6 second set win.
The Lightning dropped a close third set, 25-17 giving the Golden Rams the match win.
The Lightning was led by Christine Hudock with nine digs and Roni Shaner with seven assists and two service aces. The Lightning will continue their home stand with Virginia Union University on Saturday, September 20th at 1:00pm.
