Bowie, MD – Volleyball drops tough match to Bowie State University

The Lightning Volleyball Team traveled to Bowie State University for a non-conference match up on Monday evening, but ended up with a 3-0 loss.  The Lightning struggled in the beginning of the first set, but climbed back to within one point, before dropping the losing 25-23.  The second and third sets were not as close, as GBC fell 25-9, and 25-13.  The loss drops the Lightning's record to 4-2 (1-0). 

The Lightning will be home for a five-game home stretch starting on Wednesday, September 17, 2008, against conference opponent Chestnut Hill College.  The match will begin at 7:00pm.
