Wilmington, DE – Lady Lightning try to Strike for Seniors but Rams come up on top

The Lady Lightning finished out their season last night against the Philadelphia University Rams.  As the three seniors took the court for their final game the whistle blew and in less than five seconds the Lightning struck with a layup by Jacinda Jones with the assist coming from Toni Jones.  The first half was a battle of shots, each team taking chances and putting points on the board.  A tie game at the end of the half was seemed just inevitable. 

The second half started and the Rams went and took control of the game.  Though the Lightning fought hard their season ended with a score of 80 to 74 in the Rams favor.  The Lightning finished their season 11-16 overall and 8-10 in the CACC.  They were led by Freshman Jacinda Jones with 18 points, 5 rebounds and 2 assists.  Senior Toni Jones put up 16 points, 5 rebounds, and 2 assists. 

The Lady Lightning said goodbye to seniors Natasha Scott, Nicole Turoni, and Toni Jones.
