Box score

Wilmington, DE – Lightning women's soccer falls to Philadelphia University

The Lightning women's soccer team took on Philadelphia University yesterday in the last home game of the season.  The Lightning playing hard in the first half saw the Rams of Philadelphia University go on the offensive throughout the half.  Outshooting the Lightning 15-1, the Rams went out to a first half lead of 2-0.

Staying positive and trying to keep up with the Rams in the second half, the Lightning would still find it hard to compete with the dominating Rams.  The Rams once again outshot the Lightning, 17-1, and scored two more goals for a 4-0 win.

Lightning goalkeeper Kristen Degenhardt recorded 12 saves on the day.

The Lightning will travel to Post University on Saturday, November 1, 2008 to finish out the season.
