Rutherford, NJ – Attenberger scores two but Lightning just misses against Felician

The Lightning women's soccer team traveled to Felician College for a CACC match-up this past Saturday.  With a strong wind in their face and a talented Felician squad, the Lightning had many obstacles in the first half, and fell behind 4-0 after 45 minutes.

With the wind at their back in the second half, the Lightning looked to cut into the Felician lead.  Despite more opportunities, and two Kate Attenberger goals, the team was unable to overcome their half-time deficit and fell 4-2. 

Kate Attenberger led the Lightning with 2 goals, while Karin Eriksson provided both assists.  Kristen Degenhardt kept busy in goal with 7 saves on the day. 

The Lightning will next face Philadelphia University on Wednesday, October 29, 2008 at 3:30pm for their last home game of the season.
