Baseball Falls, 11-5, at No. 8 West Chester

Goldey-Beacom made the short trip to face No. 8 West Chester and was dealt an 11-5 setback in West Chester, PA.
 
Goldey-Beacom in the top of the second inning had West Chester on the ropes with four runs in the frame.  Freshman Kaden Barmer (Edgewood, MD) scored on an error, junior Trey Mason (Germantown, MD) ripped a two-run double and later scored on a throwing error.
 
However, the Golden Rams scored the next 11 runs from the second through fifth innings for an 11-4 lead.  The highlights included AJ DiAddezio clubbing a two-run homer in the second and Austin Stalker adding a two-run double in the fifth.
 
Barmer and sophomore Brent Williams (Woodstown, NJ) each had two hits with junior Matt Murphy (Voorhees, NJ) hitting a solo home run for the Lightning (26-14).

Drew Simpson and Hunter Smith each had two hits for West Chester (25-8).
 
Goldey-Beacom on Saturday hosts Chestnut Hill for a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference doubleheader, beginning at noon.
