Goldey-Beacom headed to East Falls for a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference game at Jefferson and left with a 16-10 loss.
The Lightning grabbed a 1-0 lead in the top of the second inning when sophomore Jake Macey (Smyrna, DE) cracked his first career home run. But the Rams scored 12 straight unearned runs after that, including eight in the fourth inning.
Goldey-Beacom (11-10, 4-2 CACC) scored four runs in the seventh inning, closing to 13-8. After two runs crossed home on wild pitches, sophomore Jaime Neris Jr. (Philadelphia, PA) lined a two-run single.
Macey closed with a season-best three hits and his four RBI tied a season high. Neris ended with two hits and three RBI.
Justin Egner had three hits and three RBI with Luis Beato Mora and Jay Salsbery getting three RBI apiece for the Rams (4-9, 3-3). Tyler Behm struck out seven over four innings.
Goldey-Beacom on Saturday hosts Felician, beginning at noon.
