Goldey-Beacom men's soccer travel to Philadelphia, PA to face Holy Family in Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference play, and despite a late game goal, was handed a 2-1 loss.
Holy Family's two goals came in the first half of play, with the first in the fifth minute by Sean McKenna, assisted by Ricardo Paniccia Giraldez, and the second in the 16th minute on an unassisted goal by Ever Maradiaga.
After taking 11 shots in the second half, Goldey-Beacom found the back of the net in the 87th minute of play on a goal from senior Tiwalade Ogunfadebo (New Castle, DE) that was assisted by fellow senior Emanuel Bustos (Miami, FL).
Senior Jamel Yasin (Sewell, NJ) ended the game with seven saves for the Lightning.
Goldey-Beacom plays next on October 1, when it hosts Roberts Wesleyan for a 3:00 pm non-conference match at the Nancy Churchman Sawin Field in Wilmington, DE.
