Goldey-Beacom women's soccer hosted Caldwell for Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference action at the Nancy Churchman Sawin Field in Wilmington, DE, but came up short and was defeated 3-0.
Caldwell started off strong in the first 45 minutes, with Valerie Monge scoring the team's first goal in the 15th minute, which was assisted by Melissa Pires. The second goal came in the 30th minute by Ana Pinzon and was assisted by Taina Gervais. The third and final goal of the game came in the second half at the 55th minute mark by Taina Gervais and was assisted again by Melissa Pires.
Sophomore Jennifer Klumpp (Hockessin, DE) finished the game with three saves, all coming in the second half.
Goldey-Beacom plays next on Tuesday, when it continues conference play against Holy Family in Philadelphia, PA at 6:30pm.
