6/12/2025 12:00:00 AM

Goldey-Beacom's Track & Field teams saw Dev Napier (Hagerstown, MD), fellow senior Madelynn Cool (Smyrna, DE), Jourdyn Rumph (Ardmore, PA) and fellow junior Madison McGowan (Bristow, VA) each picked to the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference All-Academic Team.

Napier went on a tear in the spring that included him receiving three gold medals at the CACC Championship and be named All-East Region by the United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association.  He repeated his title in the 100-meter dash in 10.50 seconds, captured the 200-meter dash in 21.45 seconds and then helped the 4x400-meter relay win in 3:17.32.

The victory by the latter clinched the Lightning's first CACC title in only the program's sixth season.  Napier ended the year with seven victories, 13 top-10 finishes, was first in the East in the 100-meter dash and third in the 200-meter dash.

Cool finished third in the 10,000-meter run at the Paul Donohue Invitational in 47:50.03 and ninth in the 5,000-meter run at the Lloyd Sigler Meet in 24:06.51.

Rumph had an incredible campaign in closing second at the CACC Championship in the hammer throw at 42.20 meters, sixth in the shot put at 11.25 meters and seventh in the discus at 35.44 meters.  This helped the women end third for the best finish in program history.

Owner of 16 top-10 finishes this year, Rumph ended 14th in the East Region in the hammer, 16th in the shot put and 17th in the discus.

McGowan played a key part in the team's success, ending fifth in the shot put and eighth in the discus at the Lloyd Sigler Meet.  She finished the year 34th in the East Region in the shot put and 42nd in the hammer.

All four will be named College Sports Communicators Academic All-District.
