Goldey-Beacom Esports made its second consecutive appearance in the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference final in Super Smash Brothers Ultimate, but was defeated 3-0 by a very skilled Bloomfield squad in Bloomfield, NJ.
Bloomfield won its maps by scores of 9-6, 9-6 and 9-2 for its second CACC SSBU title of the academic year. David "Toon3rd" Hale took 10 of the 14 stocks for Goldey-Beacom.
It was an outstanding debut season for the Lightning as they welcomed outstanding talent in playing in a state-of-the-art Esports arena. GBC went to the CACC final in both SSBU seasons, won the CACC regular-season title in Marvel Rivals and grabbed fourth place in the NECC Valorant Northeast Division. In Marvel Rivals, Goldey-Beacom won all six regular-season matches with five straight by 3-0 scores.
