Game Recap: Men's Soccer |

Men’s Soccer Defeated 3-1 By Georgian Court

Goldey-Beacom men's soccer faced Georgian Court at Nancy Churchman Sawin Field in Wilmington, DE, but was handed a 3-1 loss by the visitors.

Georgian Court was the first to score on a goal from Alessandro Cavallini in the 34th minute, assisted by Nabeel Khan on a cross pass. The Lions went into halftime with a 1-0 lead, but in the 50th minute senior Emanuel Bustos (Miami, FL) evened the score with a perfectly placed free kick over the goalie. 

Georgian Court took the lead back in the 57th minute when Tim Wilk found Jack Pollintine-Smit for his second goal of the season. GCU topped things off on a goal from Henry Calix that was assisted by Noa Aasheim.

Senior Jamel Yasin (Sewell, N.J.) finished with nine saves for the Lightning and Ayendi Batista had three saves for the Lions.

Goldey-Beacom returns to action on Saturday, when it travels to Orangeburg, NY to face Dominican (NY) at 2:30 pm.
