Goldey-Beacom women's soccer faced Georgian Court at the Nancy Churchman Sawin Field in Wilmington, DE and were dealt a 2-1 loss to the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference opponent.

Goldey-Beacom got themselves on the board in the first half of play when a pass from sophomore Ella Badra (Caracas, Venezuela) deflected off a defender in the 22nd minute to perfectly find fellow sophomore Ryley Dixon (Pilesgrove, N.J.) for her eighth goal of the season. 

Georgian Court evened the score at one when Julia Eichenbaum dribbled through the defense and found the bottom left corner of net for her third goal of the season. The Lions scored their second and winning goal in the 73rd minute on a goal from Chelsea Lavezzo that was assisted by Brynn Kozlowski.

Freshman Malaika Nunziata (Cape Town, South Africa) had six saves for the Lightning and Delaine Wilkinson finished with five saves for Georgian Court.

Goldey-Beacom plays next on Saturday, where they travel to Orangeburg, NY to face Dominican (NY) for a 12:00pm game.
