Goldey-Beacom women's soccer went into the game against No. 10 Jefferson on a school record setting eight-game unbeaten streak, but unfortunately had its streak snapped with a 3-0 defeat.

The Rams scored in the sixth minute on an own goal. In the 12th minute, Mia Ferrara found Kyra Lesko on a cross pass, who then found Gianna Garozzo for the header goal and her sixth of the season.

Jefferson wrapped its scoring in the 61st minute on Dillan Sorino's first goal of the season, assisted by Mia Ferrara. 

Freshman Malaika Nunziata (Cape Town, South Africa) had seven saves for the Lightning.

With three regular season games remaining, Goldey-Beacom sits at sixth place in the conference with Jefferson in first.

The Lightning play next on Tuesday, when they face Georgian Court for a 3:00 pm match at the Nancy Churchman Sawin Field in Wilmington, DE.
