Goldey-Beacom men's soccer faced off against East Stroudsburg for a non-conference match at the Nancy Churchman Sawin Field in Wilmington, DE, but was handed a 1-0 loss after a goal early in the first half.
ESU scored on an assist from Jace Seara to Ryan Kiernan in the 16th minute. Despite strong efforts from the Lightning, the Warriors gained their sixth win of the season in the shutout.
Goldey-Beacom was led by sophomore Sam Ball (Salisbury, Md.), who took three shots. ESU was led by Phil Sykes with six saves.
Goldey-Beacom plays next on Saturday, when it travels to Waterbury, CT to resume Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference play against Post at 6:30 pm.
