Goldey-Beacom Gets a Trio Picked for CACC Weekly Awards

More awards from the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference made their way to Goldey-Beacom with sophomore Ryley Dixon (Pilesgrove, NJ) named the Women's Soccer Player of the Week, freshman Malaika Nunziata (Cape Town, South Africa) picked the Goalkeeper of the Week and sophomore Gabi Fullwood (Powder Springs, GA) tabbed to Volleyball's Weekly Honor Roll.

Dixon scored a massive goal and added two assists in helping Goldey-Beacom go 1-0-1. She scored with 10 minutes left to break a tie and give GBC a big 2-1 victory Saturday over Bridgeport. Dixon assisted on a goal from junior Lexy Yeager (West Deptford, NJ) in the 32nd minute to open the scoring and provided the helper on Yeager's tally in their team's 1-1 on Wednesday at Saint Thomas Aquinas.

Nunziata made 10 saves over two games for a 1-0-1 mark. She made six saves Wednesday at Saint Thomas Aquinas and four on Saturday vs. Bridgeport.

Fullwood closed with 21 kills, a .318 hitting percentage and six blocks over two matches. She had 14 kills, a .323 percentage and two block assists Saturday in Goldey-Beacom's 3-1 triumph at Dominican (NY). Fullwood also had seven kills, a .308 percentage, a block solo and three blocks assists Tuesday in her squad's 3-0 victory over Chestnut Hill.
