Goldey-Beacom women's soccer played Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference opponent Bridgeport at the Nancy Churchman Sawin Field in Wilmington, Delaware, and pulled away with the 2-1 victory after a goal late in the second half.

Goldey-Beacom put themselves on the board in the 31st minute of play when junior Lexy Yeager (West Deptford, N.J.) scored her fourth goal of the season off an assist from sophomore Ryley Dixon (Pilesgrove, N.J.). Bridgeport evened the score shortly after at the 34th minute mark on an unassisted goal from Chloe Oudin, her third of the season.

The second half of play remained scoreless for both sides until the 80th minute when Ryley Dixon scored the winning goal for the Lightning on an assist from junior Tamara Trumic (Spiegelberg, Germany) for her fifth goal of the season.

Freshman Malaika Nunziata (Cape Town, South Africa) finished with four saves for GBC and Sky Hernandez had four for Bridgeport.

Goldey-Beacom plays next on Wednesday, when it faces D'Youville for a non-conference game at 1:00 pm in Wilmington, DE.
