Game Recap: Men's Soccer |

Men’s Soccer Falls Short Against Caldwell

Men's Soccer was unable to come back from a two-goal deficit in the first half and fell, 3-1, at Caldwell.

Caldwell was able to score early on in the first half, off a goal from Ingebrigt Braenden, assisted by Jakub Cielak, in only the third minute. Caldwell then scored again only eight minutes later in the 11th minute from a goal by Aimar Carter, assisted by Yigit Kilic.

The Lightning cut the gap to 2-1 when freshman Johs Herden (Borgholzhausen, Germany) capitalized on an assist from senior Colby Niggebrugge (Middletown, DE) and found the back of the net to score. Goldey-Beacom was unable to score again and Caldwell extended its lead to 3-1 in the last minute off Aimar Carter's second goal of the game, assisted by Aaqil Khairun and Imran Rahman.

Junior Jamel Yasin (Woodbury, N.J.) finished with a career high 11 saves.

Goldey-Beacom plays again on Thursday at 12pm against Washington Adventist in Takoma Park, MD.
