Men’s Soccer Dealt 1-0 Loss at Washington Adventist



Goldey-Beacom made a journey to the Capital Beltway for a non-conference match and dropped a 1-0 contest at Washington Adventist in Takoma Park, MD.
 
GBC headed into today's match looking to continue improving with its next seven contests against foes from the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference.
 
The Shock cracked the scoreboard in the 10th minute, when Marcos Hernandez Molina found the back of the net.
 
Goldey-Beacom (3-6) had some great opportunities in closing with eight shots on net and 13 total shots.  Junior Jamel Yasin (Woodbury, NJ) made a career-best 13 saves and senior Colby Niggebrugge (Middletown, DE) had three shots.
 
Gregorio Capponi recorded eight saves and Hernandez Molina totaled five shots for Washington Adventist (2-2-2). 
 
Goldey-Beacom on Saturday partakes in Homecoming & Lightning Family Weekend, facing Post in a 2:30 pm contest.  The women's game between the same schools is at noon.
