Volleyball Cruises to 3-0 Victory at Lincoln (PA)



Goldey-Beacom had little difficulty in getting its record back to .500 with a 3-0 triumph (25-16, 25-15, 25-19) over Lincoln (PA) in Lincoln University, PA.
 
The first set saw the Lightning roll to a .240 hitting percentage and hold the Lions to a mere -.011.  GBC forced Lincoln into nine attack errors in that set and also the third, when the home side hit just .048.
 
Senior Caitlyn Burch (Mechanicsville, MD) continued to be a standout, getting 10 kills to go with a .292 percentage.  Junior Giuliana Jaku (Frontin, Italy) had eight kills, Ada Koksal (Istanbul, Turkiye) notched 24 assists and fellow freshman Gaby Fernandez (Arecibo, PR) added 14 digs for the Lightning (3-3).
 
Janaa Smith had seven kills for the Lions (0-4).
 
Goldey-Beacom next Wednesday is home to open Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Play against Holy Family, beginning at 7:00 pm.
