Baseball Notches 18-11 Victory Over Saint Rose



Goldey-Beacom made a big play on the stage that hosted the 1988 film Bull Durham, crashing its way to an 18-11 victory over Saint Rose in Durham, NC.
 
There certainly was no lollygagging on the offensive side with Goldey-Beacom making it 27 runs scored over its last two contests.  Senior Kyle Walker (Wilmington, DE), last year picked first team All-Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference and second team CCA All-East Region, had three hits, two doubles, a stolen base and five RBI.  Junior Adam McEvoy (Sewell, NJ) closed with a double, three runs and a stolen base.
 
Coming off an impressive freshman campaign that included a start in the NCAA Tournament, Kevin Dillon (Mount Bethel, PA) made his first start of the season and lalooshed his way to the victory by striking out five over 5 1/3 innings.
 
These teams on Sunday finish their stay in North Carolina with a 1:30 pm contest, also in Durham.
