Goldey-Beacom women's soccer faced a tough Jefferson team in Philadelphia, PA and was dealt a 3-0 loss against the current Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference first seed.
Jefferson in the 27th minute scored the first of its three goals when Alexa Callahan tallied off an assist by Mia Ferrara. Its second goal came in the second half in the 49th minute when Gianna Garozzo was able to dribble around the Lightning defense. Jefferson closed its scoring in the 52nd minute when Nikki Dedes tallied off an assist from Helina Macchia.
Goldey-Beacom was led in shots by senior Angela Lee (Warren, R.I.), who had two. Senior goalie Nikki Cashin (Ridley, PA) closed the game with five saves.
Goldey-Beacom plays in Buffalo, NY on Saturday where they face D'Youville at 3:30pm.
