Ryley Dixon Highlights Three Goldey-Beacom Weekly Honorees from the CACC

10/22/2024 12:00:00 AM

Another solid week for Goldey-Beacom saw Ryley Dixon (Pilesgrove, NJ) named Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Women's Soccer Player and Rookie of the Week, freshman Ada Koksal (Istanbul, Turkiye) picked the Volleyball Setter of the Week and senior Colby Niggebrugge (Middletown, DE) tabbed to the Men's Soccer Weekly Honor Roll.

Dixon had four goals and two assists Wednesday in Goldey-Beacom's 7-2 rout of Lincoln (PA).  It was the most goals and points (10) for a GBC women's soccer player since Jenna Fannon had the same totals against Lincoln on October 24, 2019.

Dixon stands fourth in the CACC with 15 points, tied for fifth with six goals and tied for eighth with three assists.  Goldey-Beacom (4-8-1, 3-4-1 CACC) enters Wednesday's game at Jefferson tied for sixth place in the league.

Koksal recorded 87 assists on the week.  She had 45 on Saturday in Goldey-Beacom's 3-1 victory over Dominican (NY) after getting 42 on Wednesday vs. Wilmington.

Koksal is second in the league with 634 assists, which already has her 10th on the school's career list and just outside the program's single-season top-10 list.  Goldey-Beacom (9-11, 3-5) is going through a tremendous resurgence after last season winning just five sets.

Niggebrugge had a goal and an assist, scoring the decisive goal in the 85th minute of Goldey-Beacom's 2-1 victory Saturday over Dominican (NY).

Also playing a big role for their team, Niggebrugge is tied for second on the squad with three assists and tied for fourth with five points.  GBC (4-9, 3-4) is eighth in the CACC entering Tuesday's match at Jefferson.
