Women’s Soccer Ends In 0-0 Tie On Senior Day

 

Goldey-Beacom women's soccer ended in a 0-0 tie against Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference opponent Dominican (NY) after honoring their nine seniors. 


Both teams remained scoreless throughout the game despite strong efforts by both offensive sides. Defense was on full display for both teams as each prevented the opposing side from finding the back of the net. 


The Lightning were led in shots by freshman Ryley Dixon (Pilesgrove, N.J.), who took four. Senior Sia Diakos (Frankford, Del.) also added two shots of her own. Senior goalie Nikki Cashin (Ridley, Pa.) finished with five saves.


Dominican was led in shots by Alissa Madura, who also took four. Dominican's goalkeeper, Brielle Bell, finished with two saves.


Goldey-beacom's nine seniors; Nikki Cashin, Lexi Coppola (Turnersville, N.J.), Angela Lee (Warren, R.I.), Jenna Campagna (Middletown, DE), Kira Cohen (Reisterstown, Md.), Sia Diakos, Alex Lowry (Wenonah, N.J.), Kaitlyn Nolan (Central Valley, N.Y.), Alyssa Petulla (Sicklerville, N.J.) also played their last home game at Nancy Churchman Sawin Field.


Goldey-Beacom plays next on Wednesday in Philadelphia, PA, where they face Jefferson at 3pm.
