Women’s Soccer Has Statement Victory, 7-2, Over Lincoln (PA) behind Ryley Dixon’s Four Goals



Freshman Ryley Dixon (Pilesgrove, NJ) scored four goals and had two assists in Goldey-Beacom's 7-2 victory over Lincoln (PA) at Nancy Churchman Sawin Field in Wilmington, DE.


The Lightning scored their first goal in 43 seconds when Dixon found senior Sia Diakos (Frankford, DE) on an open net for her first goal of the same. Dixon then added her first goal of the game in the 14th minute off a great pass from senior Angela Lee (Warren, R.I.).

Lincoln scored its first goal in the 16th minute off the header goal by Jordan Allison, assisted by Keilani Broadnax off a corner kick.


Goldey-Beacom found the back of the net for the third time only eight seconds after the goal by Lincoln when senior Jenna Campagna (Middletown, DE) scored her first goal of the season off an assist from sophomore Miley Jones (Pemberton, N.J.). Dixon added her second goal of the game 40 seconds later. Her second goal was assisted by senior Tori Nilles (Fallston, Md.).


Grace Quiah scored for Lincoln in the 42nd minute from a free kick and got the Lions within two going into the second half.


Goldey-Beacom did not slow itsmomentum in the second half and Diakos scored her second goal of the game off of a cross pass from Dixon in the 50th minute. Dixon then went on to score two more goals to give the Lightning a 7-2 victory. The first in the 64th minute, assisted by Sofia Bolado Vega, and the second in the 81st minute when she beat her defender for an open net.


Dixon finished the game with four goals and two assists, totaling 10 points.  Jenna Fannon also had four goals and 10 points against Lincoln on October 24, 2019.


Goldey-Beacom plays on Saturday at Nancy Churchman Sawin Field in Wilmington, DE, where they will honor their seniors before the game. Kickoff will be at noon.
