Goldey-Beacom on Tuesday was dealt a 2-1 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference loss against Post in Super Smash Brothers Ultimate.
Post started off its game play strong and had very few mistakes in the first set and was able to capitalize, starting the match with a 1-0 lead after the first set. In that set, freshmen Stephen Quinn (Oceanview, DE) took two stocks and Lukus "DeadPool0698" Parrish (Perryville, MD) had three.
GBC evened the score in the second set and send the game to a third set tiebreaker. Unfortunately, a "Self-destruct" and great performance from Post's "King K Rool" player, who was able to take the remaining five stocks alone, gave Post the win.
Goldey-Beacom competes again Tuesday against Dominican (NY) in Super Smash Brothers Ultimate at 9pm.
