Women’s Soccer Records 2-1 Victory at Felician



Junior Kaitlyn Nolan (Central Valley, NY) scored in the 77th minute to break a tie and Goldey-Beacom held on for a 2-1 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference victory at Felician in Livingston, NJ.
 
The decider came on a great play as freshman Ryley Dixon (Pilesgrove, NJ) had the ball on the right side and fed a perfect pass to Nolan, who tapped it home for her first GBC goal.
 
A first goal also was the case for junior Sofia Bolado Vega (Cantabria, Spain), who got a pass from senior Alex Lowry (Wenonah, NJ) and buried one in the 17th minute for a 1-0 GBC lead.
 
The Golden Falcons leveled things in the 49th minute when Cynthia Amankwaa made it a 1-1 contest.
 
Goldey-Beacom closed with a 15-9 shots edge and it was well distributed with no one getting more than two shots.
 
Senior Nikki Cashin (Ridley, PA) made three saves for Goldey-Beacom (3-8, 2-4 CACC) and Isabella Riollano had five for Felician (1-8-3, 1-5).
 
Goldey-Beacom on Tuesday is home for a CACC contest against Lincoln (PA), starting at 3:00 pm.
