Goldey-Beacom saw yet another solid week earn senior Nazim Derry (Atlantic City, NJ) a spot on the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Men's Basketball Weekly Honor Roll and senior Janiya Stevens (Ellendale, DE) make the league's Women's Basketball Weekly Honor Roll.

Derry continued his stellar play, averaging 21.0 points on 16-of-31 shooting over two games with seven rebounds.  He scored 21 points on 9-of-15 shooting Wednesday against Jefferson before netting 21 points on 7-of-16 shooting Saturday in Goldey-Beacom's 87-79 triumph at Bridgeport.

Derry is just adding to what has been a prolific career, which included him being named first team All-CACC in 2022.  He is sixth in team history with 1,154 career points, third with 176 three-pointers, fifth with 396 field goals, sixth with 156 steals and ninth with 203 assists.

This season, Derry is eighth in the league with 15.3 points per game, first with 42 steals, fourth with 40 three-pointers and fourth with 64 assists.

His play has Goldey-Beacom (10-8, 5-1 CACC) tied with Wilmington (5-1) for first place in the CACC South Division.  These teams face each other Tuesday in Newark, beginning at 8:00 pm.

Stevens averaged 11.5 points and 7.0 rebounds over two games.  She had 16 points and seven rebounds Saturday at Bridgeport after getting seven and seven on Wednesday vs. No. 6 Jefferson.

Giving the Lightning a strong presence in the post, Stevens has provided great leadership to a young squad eager to improve.  She is ninth in the CACC with 17 blocks, 14th with 6.7 rebounds per game and 19th with .679 free throw percentage.
