Women's Soccer Fall, 2-0, at Queens (NY)



Goldey-Beacom made the trip for their penultimate non-conference matchup against Queens (NY) and was dealt a 2-0 loss in Flushing, NY.
 
Queens (NY) controlled the offensive end of the field for the majority of the match, out-shooting the Lightning 21-8. However, junior Nikki Cashin (Ridley, PA) continues to be reliable between the posts, recording six saves on the match.
 
Queens (NY) opened the scoring in the 24th minute when Julia Ragone scored a one-touch shot, assisted by Gabrielle Christian and Sarah Anderson.
 
The second goal came late in the 79th minute from Laila Morales off a cross from Jacklyn Diel.
 
Junior Angela Lee (Warren, RI) notched three shots and sophomore Mariah McQueen (Baltimore, MD) two for GBC (0-3-4, 0-1-1 CACC).
 
Jenna Rosenberger had four shots and Ragone three while goalkeeper Katelyn Villacres closed with five saves for Queens (NY) (3-4-1, 0-2-0 ECC).
 
Goldey-Beacom travel to Orangeburg, NY on Saturday for Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference play against Dominican (NY) at 12:00 pm. This is the first game of a doubleheader with the men's match, which begins at 2:30 pm.
