Soccer Teams See Three Honored for CACC Weekly Awards

Goldey-Beacom saw multiple honors for its soccer teams as freshman Aeddan Jones (Chester, England) was named Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Men's Soccer Rookie and Goalkeeper of the Week with juniors Nikki Cashin (Ridley, PA) and Lexi Coppola (Turnersville, NJ) picked to the league's Women's Soccer Weekly Honor Roll.
 
Jones made three saves in helping Goldey-Beacom to a 3-1 victory Wednesday over Staten Island.  He has made seven saves over his first two contests.
 
Cashin recorded six saves Saturday in Goldey-Beacom's 1-1 tie vs. Molloy.  She has enjoyed yet another strong start, making 19 saves over three contests with an .864 save percentage.
 
Coppola found the back of the net Saturday for her first goal of the season and seventh career.

The men's team is on the road Monday to face Pittsburgh-Johnstown, starting at 4:00 pm.  The women's squad on Tuesday visits Pace for a 7:00 pm match.
