Goldey-Beacom had Caldwell on edge in the third set during both teams Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference opener, but was handed a tough 3-0 setback (14-25, 17-25, 20-25) at the Jones Center in Wilmington, DE.

The third set for the Lightning belonged to sophomore Megan Chesser (Grove City, OH), who almost single-handedly got her squad back into the match during an 8-0 run after it trailed 11-8.  She started the run with a kill and then served three consecutive aces to give GBC a 12-11 lead.

Freshman Ngozi Nwosu (Brockton, MA) ended the spurt with three kills over the next four points for a 16-11 GBC cushion.

The Cougars scored the next five points for a 17-16 lead.  After Nwosu's kill leveled things at 17, Caldwell ended the match on an 8-3 run.  Andrea Enabosi had two kills in that stretch.
