Volleyball Dealt 3-0 Loss at Jefferson



Goldey-Beacom showed a strong front against one of the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference's best, being dealt a 3-0 loss (19-25,14-25,11-25) by Jefferson in Philadelphia, PA.
 
The Lightning showed a promising first set but the experience of Jefferson overpowered the resilience of the Lightning. Jefferson took control of the final two sets, with hitting percentages of .290 and .172.
 
Junior Morgan Mendick (Bear, DE) took charge of the defensive end, closing with 16 digs.  Juliana Malena (Miramar, FL) notched six digs to go with five assists and fellow freshman Ma'kayla Coats (Ann Arbor, MI) had four kills for GBC (0-17, 0-14 CACC).
 
Caroline Bond had 20 assists and nine digs, Morgan Ritchie had 10 kills and Cameron Johnson had 12 digs for Jefferson (14-9, 11-2).
 
Goldey-Beacom hosts Wilmington (DE) on Thursday in a 7:00 pm matchup in the Joseph West Jones Center.
