Goldey-Beacom Sees Three More Cited for CACC Weekly Awards

More awards for Goldey-Beacom kept rolling in with Elizabeth Mova (Sevastopol, Ukraine) named the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Women's Tennis Player of the Week, fellow junior Ny'jashia Smith (Newark, DE) tabbed to the Women's Cross Country Weekly Honor Roll and senior Zach Landvik-Larsen (Stroudsburg, PA) picked to the Men's Cross Country Weekly Honor Roll.
 
Mova went 3-1 on the week, all at either first singles and first doubles, with two singles victories.  She got a 6-2, 6-0 win Wednesday over Chestnut Hill's Claudia Rasilla and a 0-6, 6-4, 4-1 retirement triumph Saturday against Dominican's Bipasha Mehn.  Mova and sophomore Zehra Canbaz (Denizli, Turkey) teamed up Saturday for a 7-5 doubles win against Mehn and Donecker.
 
Mova's season has been another astounding one in being picked second team All-CACC, playing the entire season at first singles and teaming with sophomore Zehra Canbaz (Denizli, Turkey) at first doubles.  Mova is 5-5 in singles that includes wins in three of her last four matches and four of her first five doubles matches.
 
Landvik-Larsen closed 23rd at the Delaware Invitational, upending many Division I runners to finish in 28:25.9 and gain his second Honor Roll pick this season.
 
The 2019 CACC Rookie of the Year, Landvik-Larsen this season has a pair of top-10 showings.  This included finishing second at the Dan Talbot Open in 28:48 over eight kilometers and sixth at the Delaware State Invite in 16:46 over five kilometers.
 
Smith closed 32nd at the Delaware Invitational, topping many Division I runners by finishing in 26:32.2.
 
Smith makes her fourth appearance on the Weekly Honor Roll this season and again has been a quality runner for the Lightning.  She ended seventh at the Dan Talbot Open in 26:49 spanning six kilometers and 11th at the Delaware State Invite in 22:03 over five kilometers.
