1/30/2023 12:00:00 AM

Goldey-Beacom's list of Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference honorees for this week included Zayon Marsh (Maplewood, NJ) picked the league's Men's Basketball Rookie of the Week, Rory Ciszkowski (Wilmington, DE) tabbed the Women's Basketball's Rookie of the Week and junior Ayshion Centeno (Pleasantville, NJ) named to the Men's Basketball Weekly Honor Roll.

It is the fourth time this season Marsh has been selected Rookie of the Week, in addition to his four mentions on the Weekly Honor Roll.  Ciszkowski gets her first rookie honor in addition to making the Weekly Honor Roll twice and Centeno attained the Weekly Honor Roll for a second time.

Marsh ended with 22 points, 12 rebounds and was 14-for-17 from the foul line in Goldey-Beacom's 83-74 win Sunday over Alliance.

It was the latest incredible performance for Marsh, a gifted athlete who can do it all in the post, from the perimeter and also gives his all with a strong defensive presence.  His offense has been on full display all season with 10 double-doubles that include the last six games.  That six-game stretch has seen him average 18.5 points and 13.0 rebounds per contest that include going 33-for-43 from the foul line.

Marsh is fifth in the nation with 10 double-doubles, 11th with 10.0 rebounds per game, 42nd with 29 blocks and 53rd with 18.8 points per game (second in the CACC).

Ciszkowski ended with 17 points and three 3-pointers Sunday in Goldey-Beacom's 85-54 victory over Alliance.

A tremendous shooter who continues to give the squad many options, Ciszkowski has scored in double figures 11 times this season that include the last six contests.  The last six games has seen her average 13.8 points per contest that include 19 three-pointers and her shooting 52 percent (28-of-54) from the field.

Ciszkowski is second in the country with a .495 three-point percentage, 41st with 49 three-pointers, 46th with 2.45 three-pointers per game and 22nd in the league with 9.8 points per contest.

Centeno closed with a season-best 24 points on 9-of-13 shooting Sunday vs. Alliance.

Centeno has been on a tear of late with his explosive scoring, averaging 16.9 points over his last seven games.  He has scored at least 20 points five times this season and is 20th in the league with 12.5 points per contest.

Both teams are in action Wednesday at Holy Family with the women's contest starting at 6:00 pm and the men's game beginning at 8:00 pm.
