Volleyball Dealt 3-0 Loss at Bowie State



Goldey-Beacom faced a tough opponent in Bowie, MD, and was handed a 0-3 loss (20-25, 15-25, 15-25) by Bowie State.

Bowie State (1-1) took control in the first set, with a percentage of .391. While the Lightning (0-7) battled, totaling 91 attacks in the match, it was not enough for the Bulldogs who maintained consistent play to average a .304 percentage in the last set.

Autumn Spendlove (Las Vegas, NV) totaled 20 assists. Freshman Nina Bongiovanni (San Tan Valley, Ariz.) notched nine kills, while fellow freshman Claudia Camporro (Gijon, Spain) amassed eight digs.

Jailynn Ivey totaled 11 kills and Neysha Washington finished with 12 digs for the Bulldogs (1-1). Regan Amos notched 14 assists and Lindsey Grossman added 11 assists and seven kills.

Goldey-Beacom travels to Richmond, VA on Saturday for a tri-match against Virginia Union and Mount Olive. Games are set for 11am and 1pm.
