Game Recap: Men's Soccer |

Men’s Soccer Dealt 2-0 Loss at West Chester

Goldey-Beacom continued to show plenty of upside in its quest to return as one of the area's best, but West Chester was too much on this day in dealing the former a 2-0 loss in West Chester, PA.

The Golden Rams struck first in the 30th minute.  Following a corner kick and a series of deflections, Brandon Duke got the ball and fired one home off assists from Ryan Keenan and Frankie Taylor.

West Chester used great execution to grab a 2-0 lead in the 61st minute.  Jason Goldfeder raced with the ball down the right sideline and passed inside to Taylor, who put a great one touch on it and found the back of the net.

A continued bright spot is freshman goalkeeper Oscar Tengmark (Varnamo, Sweden), who again showed solid play.  Today, he made a season-best 10 saves just one game after getting five Wednesday at Bloomsburg.

Sophomore Patrick Short (Georgetown, DE) had two shots for the Lightning (0-4).

Taylor recorded five shots off the bench with Trevor Looby and Kendall Walkes getting three apiece for West Chester (3-1).  Daniel Good made two saves.

Goldey-Beacom is home next Wednesday for a 4:00 pm match against Lock Haven.
