Volleyball Dealt 3-0 Loss at Chestnut Hill



Goldey-Beacom faced a tough matchup in Philadelphia, PA and was dealt a 3-0 (18-25, 14-25, 21-25) loss in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference play against Chestnut Hill.  

The Lightning, despite two tough losses in the first and second sets, held the Griffins to a .125 hitting percentage before falling 21-25, with both teams totaling 10 kills in the third set.

Senior Autumn Spendlove (Las Vegas, NV) continues to tally up assists, finishing with 21 and nine digs. Fellow senior Shayla Boyce (Somerdale, N.J.) totaled eight kills and freshman Megan Chesser (Grove City, OH) added six kills. Both players finished with a hitting percentage of .333. Freshman Nina Bongiovanni  (San Tan Valley, AZ) ended with eight digs.  

Henielys Ramos ended the match with 14 kills and Mikayla Grimes added 11 for the Griffins. Mia Caporellie notched 32 assists and 11 digs with Torrin Kelly totaling 15 digs.

Goldey-Beacom returns to the Joseph West Jones Center on Saturday to host Bloomfield in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference match scheduled for noon.
