Men's Soccer Dealt 8-0 Loss at Millersville

Goldey-Beacom faced a tough Millersville side in a non-conference matchup in Millersville, PA, finishing in an 8-0 loss.

Millersville produced play that was tough to hold from the beginning. The scoring opened in the second minute following a goal from Sasha Rabala, assisted by Spencer Shortt.

Three more goals followed closely in the seventh, 10th and 12th minutes finished by Matthew Lynch, Aaron Maynard and Christian Bowles.

The final goal of the first half came from Gage Meckley, totaling the score to 5-0 at halftime.

The Lightning played solidly to keep the Marauders away from the goal until the 63rd minute, when Zander Leik was able to find the back of the net.

An unfortunate own goal and a tally from Shortt ended the match at 8-0.

Sophomores Patrick Short (Georgetown, DE) and Oliver Person (Ski, Norway) lead the way on the offensive end, totaling two shots apiece. Freshman Oscar Tengmark (Varnamo, Sweden) closed with three saves for GBC (0-11).

Six players totaled two shots each for the Marauders (5-1-4).

Goldey-Beacom returns to Central Collegiate Atlantic Conference play on Saturday with a trip to Caldwell, NJ to face Caldwell at 1:30pm.
