Autumn Spendlove Reaches 2,000 Career Assists in Volleyball’s 3-0 Setback to Wilmington



Senior Autumn Spendlove (Las Vegas, NV) reached 2,000 career assists for Goldey-Beacom, which went toe-to-toe with one of the area's best in a 3-0 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference loss (15-25, 17-25, 15-25) to Wilmington (DE) at the Jones Center in Wilmington, DE.
 
Goldey-Beacom hung tough in the opening set, recording 11 kills.  But Wilmington had only two errors in the set in getting a .323 hitting percentage.  The Wildcats then got 17 kills and just six errors in the second set for a .355 percentage.
 
Spendlove ended with 20 assists and now has 2,015, remaining in third place in school history.  The program record is 2,473, held by Olivia Florence (2015-18).
 
Freshman Claudia Camporro (Gijon, Spain) had 13 digs for the Lightning (0-16, 0-5 CACC).
 
Brice Hansen notched 10 kills and 11 digs with Katie Bushong dishing 35 assists for the Wildcats (6-11, 4-2), who owned a 42-27 kills edge and posted a .319 percentage.
 
Goldey-Beacom on Thursday is on the road to face Chestnut Hill.  Match time in Philadelphia is at 7:00 pm.
